Car park is part of wider expansion project planned for Dubai shopping complex
Local developer Nakheel has awarded a contract to the UAE/Australian Kele Contracting to build a multi-storey car park for the Dragon Mart shopping complex in Dubai.
Located at the north east section of the Dragon Mart complex, the car park will be four levels high and will add more than 62,000 square metres to the existing complex. The building’s roof will be covered by a tensile fabric canopy.
Contractors had submitted bids for the contract on 25 December last year.
The car park project is part of a wider expansion planned for the Dragonmart mall. In addition to the car park project, Nakheel is planning to build a new mall building with a cinema and anchor tenants. The total built-up area of the expansion is about 158,000 sq m.
