Biography: Khalid Mohamed Sultan Laram holds a Bachelor of Science degree in chemical engineering from the University of Southern California, USA.   

In 1985, after obtaining his degree, Laram joined Qatar Petroleum, where he held various positions over the past 27 years in which he was involved in the development of Qatar’s North Field Gas resources; Qatar Gas LNG Trains 1 and 2, the NGL - 4 Project as project manager, and was also deputy general manager of the Al-Khaleej Gas Project – Phase 1 and 2, finally working his way up to deputy CEO of Qatalum.

Currently, Laram manages Qatalum’s financial activities, including finance and accounting issues.

Laram covers the Supply Chain Group that includes marketing and sales, raw materials and logistics.

Laram also oversees Qatalum’s human resource and administration, communications and procurement departments.
