A tender has been issued for a new women’s college at King Saud University in Riyadh.

The project has an estimated value of SR7bn ($1.85bn) and up to 12 buildings will be built on the site in Riyadh.

The closing date for bids is 5 July and the project is expected to take three years to complete. A decision is expected in August by the client, King Saud University.

It is the latest in a series of university tenders in the kingdom. Bids have already been submitted for a university building at Taibah University, near Medina, with an award for the SR450m contract expected in July.

At least three local contractors have submitted bids, including Al-Harbi, Al-Kheraiji and Al-Redwan Contracting Company (MEED 3:6:08).
