Ministry postpones drinking water scheme until 29 December
Kuwait’s Electricity & Water Ministry has delayed the bid deadline for a contract to build a drinking water complex at Al-Zour until 29 December.
Bids were originally due on 8 September.
The successful bidder will build and maintain the Al-Zour 2 complex.
The ministry has prequalified various groups. They are: Athens-based Consolidated Contractors Company; SK Engineering & Construction, GS Engineering & Construction and Doosan Heavy Industries & Construction, all South Korean; Switzerland-based ABB; Canada’s SNC Lavalin, Egypt’s The Arab Contractors, Japan’s Marubeni Corporation; and Italy’s Saipem.
The ministry issued the tender on 8 March. It held a pre-bid meeting on 7 April.
