Kuwait’s Electricity & Water Ministry has delayed the deadlines on two separate tenders for the supply of water distillation units in the country.

The bid deadline for the Al-Zour South project was 15 March. Civil servants have moved it to 14 April.

The ministry has prequalified 11 companies for the Al-Zour South and Doha East schemes. They are Italy’s Termomeccanica Ecologia, Ionics Italba, Unidero, and Idroconsulting, France’s Vivendi Water Systems, South Korea's Doosan Heavy Industries & Construction, the US' Aquatech, India's Thermax, UAE-based Metito, Austria's VA Tech Wabag, and the UK's EcoTech.
