Kuwait invites consultants for PPP programme

19 January 2011

Bid deadline is 16 February

Kuwait’s Partnerships Technical Bureau (PTB) has invited companies to bid by 16 February for a contract to provide consultancy services on its upcoming public-private partnership (PPP) programme.

PTB is looking for an international firm with at least 10 years’ experience in PPP projects. It must have regional and international branches.

Once selected, the in-house consultant will assist the PTB on its $28bn PPP programme and help appoint consultants for the 32 projects.

It will also work on the evaluation criteria used to evaluate bids and the mechanism for conducting feasibility studies.

Some of the projects already have advisers in place, including the $10bn rail project, a tourism project for Failaka, independent water and power project and sewage treatment facility at Umm al-Hayman.
