Kuwait invites contractors for desalination project

Project to be commissioned in 2016 and 2017

Kuwait’s Ministry of Electricity & Water has issued a request for qualification to contractors for a 100 million gallons a day (g/d) reverse osmosis desalination plant to treat wastewater at Doha.

The project will be carried out in two phases, each with a capacity of 50 million g/d. Stage one, which includes the construction of the 50 million g/d unit in addition to the infrastructure preparation for stage two, will be commissioned by 2016. Phase two will be commissioned by 2017.

Contractors have until 9 July to submit statements of qualification.
