Project will be called South Jahran Labour City

The Kuwait Authority for Partnership Projects has invited investors to submit expressions of interest (EOI) for the development of residential project for labourers.

The South Jahran Labour City project is set to be developed under the country’s PPP law and the regulations of the Ministry of Housing and the Kuwait Authority for Partnership Projects (KAPP).

The EOI notice states that private developers will be responsible for the design, financing, construction, operation, maintenance and transfer of the development.

The project will be built on a land area of approximately 1 million square metres and will comprise residential areas, commercial and retail services, community services, as well as municipal and utilities services.

In February Kuwait’s Public Authority for Housing Welfare also invited investors to submit EOI’s for five mixed-use residential developments in the Jaber al-Ahmad and Sabah al-Ahmad areas under the country’s PPP law.
