Kuwait's health ministry has said it will sign an agreement with Canada's McGill University to cater for heart and blood vessels patients, Kuna has reported. The agreement aims to provide enhanced medical care for heart patients in Kuwait at the same level of high quality treatment provided to heart patients at the McGill University clinic, the ministry said. Under the deal, high-level medical and technical teams from the Canadian university are to visit Kuwait on a periodical basis in order to help doctors at Kuwaiti public hospitals and to carry out complicated surgeries. Furthermore, Kuwaiti doctors are to be dispatched to the Canadian university for training courses in key medical specialties, primarily child and adult surgeries.
