Libya resumes production at El-Naga field

Harouge Oil Operations has resumed production at the El-Naga oil field in the Sitre basin in eastern Libya.

Since 19 January, the field has been producing 8,000 barrels a day (b/d), almost half its 20,000 b/d capacity, with output shipped from Ras Lanuf export terminal, according to a 31 January company statement.

Harouge is a joint venture of National Oil Corporation and Canada’s PetroCanada.  It operates operates the Amal, Al-Jufra, Ghani, Tibisti and El-Naga fields, which are capable of producing 110,0000 b/d.
