Oil Ministry to launch human resources development plan

Libya’s Ministry of Oil & Gas plans to carry out a study for a comprehensive human resources development plan to upgrade the sector’s manpower capabilities.

The ministry has asked interested firms to submit prequalification documents by 31 March.

The study will include the organisation of a workshop on data collection methodology and data-base building for a team from the Ministry of Oil and Gas, which will later assist in the implementation of the plan.

It will also make an assessment of Libya’s previous human resources training programs and development plans from 2008 to 2010, as well as current training institutes.

The Oil Ministry is currently working on the development of a sector wide strategy for Libya, which could be completed by the end of the year.
