Construction contract includes building a dual carriageway road
The local Port Saeed Transport & Building Contracting Company has been awarded the enabling works contract for Dubai Wholesale City.
The enabling works include, levelling, grading and excavating over an area of 135 million square feet, as well as the construction of a 15 kilometre dual carriageway road that will connect Mohammed bin Zayed Road and Emirates Road.
The Dubai Wholesale City project was launched in March this year. It is a fully integrated trading hub and aims to attract AED30bn ($8.2bn) of investment. The city will offer companies and investors commercial and industrial land, markets, warehouses, showrooms and shops under one roof, as well as transport and storage services, as well as support services such as shipping, insurance, customs and other services.
