The First Group has appointed a Chinese contractor for work on a hotel project in Dubai
Local developer The First Group has appointed a contractor for its hotel project in Dubais Jumeirah Village Circle area.
The contract for the $180m The One by Ramada Plaza hotel was awarded to China Railway 18th Bureau Group Company in June this year. The consultant is Canadas Norr Group.
The scope of the work includes the building of the 37-storey structure, a car park and all associated facilities.
It is understood that work on the site has started.
The First Group also appointed China Railway 18th Bureau Group Company last year of work on its $50m Sky Central Hotel in the Barsha Heights area of Dubai. Work on the four-star hotel is nearing completion.
