The local Square General Contracting Company (SGCC) has been awarded a AED203m ($55m) contract for a residential project in Nakheel’s Jumeirah Village South.

The project is a three-building, five-storey development known as Tuscan Residence, and will comprise a Mediterranean style with an Arabic theme.

The project is expected to take 18 months to complete. The local Damac Properties is the developer.

This week another project was launched within the Jumeirah Village development. The local property developer Al-Duaa Holdings announced a AED240m residential project. The 10-storey building will cover 26,000 square metres.

Previous projects that have been launched within Jumeirah Village include the local Al-Faraa Properties townhouse project called Mulberry Mansions, and the Rotating Tower and Wave Business Towers. Dimension Engineering is the consultant for the latter two projects (MEED 21:5:08).
