Local firm wins refinery asset integrity contract

Firm to undertake work at the Mesaieed refinery as part of $51m contract

The local Energy Technical Services has been awarded an estimated $51m contract to execute asset integrity works at its Mesaieed refinery.

The company will primarily carry out the rehabilitation of 82 storage tanks, spheres and bullets at the refinery for QP.

The contract is effective from 6 January and is scheduled to be completed by January 2024.

The scope of work on the project covers supply of project management services, supervision, labour, mobilisation, de-mobilisation, inspection and non-destructive testing (NDT) by a QP-approved third-party inspection agency, testing, warehousing, machinery, heavy equipment, tools/tackles, consumables and material transportation.
