Contract awarded by state-owned Kuwait Oil Company

Kuwait-based Arabi Enertech has won a KD19m ($63m) contract to install crude pipelines for state-owned upstream producer Kuwait Oil Company (KOC).

Arabi Enertech submitted the lowest bid on an engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) tender and was selected to carry out the project.

The scheme calls for the establishment of crude oil pipelines and related works in KOC’s West Kuwait area, according to an update by Kuwait’s Central Tenders Committee.

Kuwait Oil Company (KOC) is targeting increasing production to 3.65 million barrels a day (b/d) by 2020 and maintain this until 2030. Current production levels are about 2.9 million b/d.
