The UAEs Majid Al-Futtaim Properties (MAF Properties) has announced a new change in management as Iyad Malas steps down as CEO.
He will be replaced by chief corporate development and brand officer, Alain Bejjani, who will assume the position with immediate effect.
Bejjani is a member of the Holding Executive Committee and has been with the company since 2006.
Prior to joining MAF Properties, Bejjani was executive vice-chairman of the Investment Development Authority of Lebanon (IDAL), as well as the founding partner of legal advisory firm Bejjani Melkane Rached Law Offices in Lebanon.
MAF Properties is currently expanding its largest shopping centre, the Mall of the Emirates in Dubai, as part of efforts towards doubling the size of its retail malls by 2018.
A recently released earnings statement also said the companys total revenues grew by 11 per cent to reach AED25bn ($6.8bn) last year.
