Arzanah development has been reduced in scale

Peter Walichnowski, chief executive officer, Majid al-Futtaim has announced the Dubai-based firm has withdrawn from the Arzanah mixed-use project in Abu Dhabi after it was reduced in scale, restricting the size of mall they were able to build, The National has reported. The project is being developed by Capitala, a joint venture between Abu Dhabi government controlled Mubadala Development Company and Capitaland, of Singapore. “They reduced the land and it didn’t fit into our scheme of things, in terms of the sort of malls that we want to develop,” Walichnowski said on the sidelines of the Retail City conference, which runs alongside the Cityscape Global event in Dubai.
