16 April 2008
Local developer Tamouh Investments has awarded the Malaysian joint venture of IJM Corporation and LFE Corporation a AED975m ($266m) contract to build a hotel on its Reem island development in Abu Dhabi.

The contract is the latest to be awarded to Malaysian contractors on Reem by Tamouh. In October 2007 the joint venture of Zelan Contracting and Al-Ambia was awarded a AED932m contract to build the Meena Plaza development.

In June the joint venture of Pembinaan SPK and Bina Puri Holdings took the estimated AED490m construction contract for zone B on Reem island.

A consortium of Tronoh Consolidated Malaysia, IJM, LFE and Sunway Holdings was awarded the contract to build five residential towers and seven villas in 2006 (MEED 5:10:07).
