Tower will be built in downtown area of Beirut

The local Man Enterprise has been awarded the $67m contract to build Damac’s Versace-branded Damac tower in Beirut.

The 28-storey Damac tower will be located in the downtown Solidere area of Beirut. The enabling works for the development have been completed by Zetas Apex Foundation Technologies.

“We are looking forward to working with Damac Properties on such an iconic project for this region and what will inevitably become a landmark in Beirut,” said Michel Abi Nader, Chairman of Man Enterprise in a press release dated 18 December.

The project is the second tower project that MAN has been awarded in 2011.

In March, the contractor was awarded an estimated $330m contract to build the 50-storey, 200-metre tall, Sama Beirut tower in the Sodeco area of Beirut, near to the airport and downtown Beirut. The tower will be the tallest in Beirut when completed (MEED 25:3:11).

The development will include seven storeys of office space and 40 residential floors containing 71 apartments. The tower will have seven basement levels, which will house a car park for more than 700 cars. The tower is being developed by the local Antonios Projects.
