Now in its 16th edition, MEED has revealed the national winners of the MEED Projects Awards 2026 in Association with Mashreq, one of the most credible and closely watched project recognition programmes in the region.

The 73 project winners span 17 categories and represent projects delivered by contractors, consultants, developers and project owners across Bahrain, Egypt, Iraq, Kuwait, Libya, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia and the UAE.

These national winners will now advance to the Mena finals, where a single winner from each category will be crowned at a gala event on 10 November at the Joharah Ballroom, Madinat Jumeirah, Dubai.

“This year’s National Winners show a projects market that has moved beyond ambition into execution. Across the region, we are seeing owners and delivery partners tackle greater complexity with more discipline, whether that is integrated delivery models, faster adoption of digital tools, or a sharper focus on sustainability outcomes. These 73 projects are a snapshot of a market maturing in real time,” said Ed James, head of content and research at MEED.

From landmark cultural institutions to critical infrastructure and energy projects, this year’s national winners reflect the breadth and pace of development across the Mena region, spanning building, culture, development, education, energy, healthcare, hospitality, industrial, leisure, power, refit and redevelopment, roads, small-scale, transport and water projects.
