

The announcement that the region will host two upcoming editions of the Asian Games improves the long-term outlook for construction
The long-term outlook for the region’s construction sector received a significant boost on 16 December 2020 when two GCC capital cities were selected by Olympic Council of Asia (OCA) to host upcoming editions of the Asian Games in 2030 and 2034.
Doha has been selected to host the games in 2030 and Riyadh will host the games four years later, in 2034.
The decision followed the announcement in November that Saudi Arabia will host a Formula 1 Grand Prix in Jeddah next year. Read more here
