Located within the Bahrain Bay Development complex, the contract, which was awarded by the resident engineer Atkins and the principle contractor Nass Murray & Roberts, is worth $20.6m.
The scope of work will include the internal fit-out of the basement, ground floor reception and five floors of offices. The project is due for completion in May 2009.
Mivan Depa is a joint venture between Depa and the Northern Ireland-based Mivan.
Separately, a number of companies have been invited to prequalify for the contract to build the superstructure for the Raffles City project in Bahrain Bay.
The development will be built on reclaimed land and will offer 450,000 square metres of residential and retail areas. Buildings will range from seven to 42 floors.
Piling works are under way and tenders have been issued for the foundation works (MEED 19:3:08).
