Danaat al-Madina was developed under the Bahrain Property Musharaka Trust. The local Eskan Bank contributed land and raised cash from institutional and high-net-worth individuals, as well as debt, to partially fund the scheme.
The project created a community with 14 six-storey residential buildings (324 apartments), 4,400 square metres of leasable retail space, two office buildings, spacious green atriums and walking plazas seamlessly integrated into the development to enhance the social life of inhabitants while maintaining adequate privacy.
Aimed at making apartment living an attractive prospect for Bahraini families, each unit has three bedrooms, a spacious living hall, a kitchen, a maids room, a store room and two balconies.
There are 846 parking spaces, including 640 basement lots for residents (two spaces per apartment); these are separated from the retail and office spaces, locked via automatic barriers and accessible from all sides of the development.
About 60 per cent of the Danaat al-Madina apartments overlook the green atriums, which consist of play areas for children, family gathering areas and walking tracks.
