Biography: Mohammad al-Ali assumed his current position in 2011 after 40 years with Aramco. He joined the company in 1971 and has been employed in various roles, all within the finance department.
Until 1989, Al-Ali worked in the financial forecasting, reporting and analysis division before being made acting administrator for the contracting services department. In the 1990s, he worked as manager of financial accounting and then international accounting and financial reporting, before eventually becoming assistant controller of operations accounting, general auditor and assistant controller of staff accounting.
In 2004, he was promoted to controller and held that position until his latest appointment. He has a bachelor’s degree in accounting from the University of Texas and a master’s degree in business administration from Denver University, both in the US.
