
Lebanese telecoms operator mtc touch, formerly known as LibanCell, has announced the launch of a national roaming service, The Daily Star has reported. The new service enables subscribers of the country's second telecoms firm Alfa to switch to the mtc network should they lose signal in remote areas not served by the Alfa network. Alfa plans to launch the same service by the end of the month pending technical arrangements.
