Project is Mubadala’s third private financed university
Abu Dhabi’s Mubadala Development Company has appointed the US’ Citigroup as financial adviser on the New York University project.
The university will include a campus, lecture theatres, library, accommodation and sports facilities. It will be developed on Saadiyat Island.
New York University is Mubadala’s third university public private partnership (PPP) following the Zayed University and Paris Sorbonne.
The mandate follows the news that Mubadala has changed the procurement strategy on the Tawam Hospital, on which Citigroup has also been acting as financial adviser (MEED 03:02:10).
Tawam had originally been intended to be another PPP. Mubadala has asked companies to bid on the $1.5bn public private partnership project by 10 February (MEED 24:12:09).
