Musanada awards $1bn of infrastructure work

Among the awarded projects are five in Western Region town of Madinat Zayed

Abu Dhabi General Services Company (Musanada) has awarded 15 construction and infrastructure contracts in the capital, according to a company statement.

The statement added that the company has awarded AED4bn-worth ($1.1bn-worth) of projects across the emirate.

Among the awarded schemes are five in the Western Region town of Madinat Zayed.

Local firm Saif Bin Darwish was appointed for AED979.8m of road and infrastructure work serving a housing scheme in the area. The company was also awarded two packages worth AED108.9m and AED89.7m for similar work within other areas of Madinat Zayed.

A fourth contract for AED738m of infrastructure work for another residential area in Madinat Zayed was awarded to Kuwait’s Mohammed Abdulmohsin al-Kharafi & Sons Company.

The local Nael & Bin Harmal Hydroexport Establishment will also execute an AED518.6m project to set up roads and infrastructure in the same area.

Finally, local contractor Ghantoot Transport & General Contracting was awarded a contract for work on an AED600m road project that will connect the towns of Al-Mirfa and Madinat Zayed. The company has also been awarded an AED108m road and infrastructure deal across four different phases of the Madinat Zayed area.
