Muscat tenders inflight catering facilities

Muscat International airport is one of the largest construction projects in the sultanate

Oman’s Transport and Communications Ministry has invited companies to bid by 25 June for the contract to design and build inflight catering facilities at Muscat International airport.

The companies that have collected documents so far are:

  • Carillion Alawi (local/UK)
  • Hanjin Heavy Industries Contracting Companies (South Korea)
  • Strabag (Austria)
  • Bahwan Engineering (local)
  • Larsen & Toubro (India)

Muscat International airport is one of the largest construction project in the sultanate. In 2010, a consortium of US’ Bechtel, the local Bahwan Engineering and Turkey’s Enka secured a OR706m ($1.8bn) contract to build the new passenger terminal.
