Local real estate developer Nakheel has invited contractors to prequalify for construction works on its Jumeirah Pointe development on the Palm Jumeirah.
The contract involves the construction of villas on the five most northerly fronds on the Palm Jumeirah. An award is expected by the end of 2008.
The local Arenco prepared the masterplan. Australia’s Bovis Lend Lease is the project manager.
The first batch of villas on the Palm Jumeirah was completed in 2007. Beijing-based China State Construction Engineering Corporation was the contractor.
