Oman’s National Aluminium Products Company (Napco) is increasing its capacity with the addition of two extrusion presses and a vertical powder coating line.

Napco has ordered two extrusion presses from Spanish group Tecalex, which will double the firm’s extrusion capacity to 36,000 tonnes a year (t/y) from a current capacity of 18,000 t/y.

The vertical powder coating line, which was ordered from Italy’s Trasmetal, will increase powder coating capacity to 27,000 t/y, from 7,000 t/y.

“Napco’s expansion plan is progressing as planned, with phase one to be completed soon as the new extrusion press and powder coating line become fully operational by October 2015 and phase two to finish early next year,” says Robert Holtkamp, CEO of Napco.
