Nasa Multiplex wins contract to build Dubai's Opus project

12 March 2008
The local/Australian Nasa Multiplex has been awarded the estimated AED800m ($218m) contract to build the Opus project at Dubai’s Business Bay.

The structure has been designed to resemble a cube with a hole in the middle. It will be built using three individual towers that will be connected to each other with cladding to give the appearance of one single structure.

The total built-up area is 85,000 square metres. Completion is expected by early 2010.

The architect is the London-based Zaha Hadid. The client is local developer Omniyat Properties.
