Nathan Weatherstone will focus on power and infrastructure deals
National Bank of Abu Dhabi (NBAD), the GCC’s third-largest bank by asset size, has appointed Nathan Weatherstone as the head of project finance advisory in the bank’s Investment Banking Group.
Weatherstone will lead NBAD’s project finance advisory team with the aim of developing NBAD’s advisory business in the power, transportation and social infrastructure sectors, the bank said in a 20 June statement.
“The advisory practice at NBAD is regarded as a key growth area, covering the full gamut from project finance advisory to mergers & acquisitions (M&A), private placements, initial public offering (IPO) advisory and strategic advisory,” sais Nicholas Gilani, the co-head of NBAD’s Investment Banking Group in the statement.
Weatherstone joins NBAD from PricewaterhouseCoopers (PWC), where he served as a director leading PWC’s public private partnership and project financing from Abu Dhabi.
