Saudi Arabia's Neom has selected Spanish architect Ricardo Bofill Taller de Arquitectura as the consultant for its newly launched Utamo entertainment destination in the Gulf of Aqaba.

The Utamo development will provide space for events, exhibitions and arts. It is Neom's latest addition to the Gulf of Aqaba region after the Siranna, Epicon and Leyja developments.

In November, Neom launched Siranna, a 65-key hotel at the Gulf of Aqaba. The development will also feature 35 residences. 

Australian architectural consultancy Woods Bagot is the design consultant and Singapore-based Meinhardt Group is providing the overall infrastructure design services on the project.

The announcement of Siranna followed the launch of Epicon Towers in the Gulf of Aqaba in November.

The project, previously known as the Gas Station Hotel, involves the construction of a twin-tower hotel, with the towers measuring 275 metres and 225 metres in height. The hotel will have 41 keys and 14 residential suites and apartments.

The development also includes a resort with 120 rooms and 45 villas.

In October, Neom launched Leyja, a new tourism destination located on the coast of the Gulf of Aqaba that comprises three hotels offering a total of 120 boutique hotel rooms and suites.

The Adventure Hotel is designed by Dutch Office for Metropolitan Architecture. The asset will be built in a location that is folded into the cliff top with valley sides. The building structure ascends the mountain wall like a staircase.

Italy's Mario Cucinella Architects is the consultant for the Oasis Hotel, which will be built in the middle of the wadi's oasis.

Dubai-based Killa Design is the project consultant for the Wellness Hotel. The property will have a reflective facade, mirroring the surrounding valley walls.

Each hotel will have 40 keys.

Leyja will also have a 73-kilometre-long hiking trail to the Trojena mountain resort.

Utamo, Epicon and Leyja are Neom's latest developments after The Line, Trojena, Oxagon and Sindalah Island.
