Oman Gas Company (OGC)has invited contractors to bid by 14 January for the contract to build a new headquarters in Muscat and five regional centres in Mabella, Fahud, Sohar, Nimr and Salalah (see Tenders).
The scope of work for the headquarters calls for the construction of a five-storey reinforced concrete building on a 5,200-square-metre site with a single-storey guardhouse, and a single-storey electrical generation building.
Also included within the contract are associated electrical, plumbing, mechanical and drainage services, sewage treatment facilities, and a substation, chiller yard, shaded car park and compound wall. In addition, the selected contractor will carry out landscaping, grading and paving works.
Each of the regional centres will be a single-storey high. Associated services and facilities will be similar to those for the headquarters.
