Aqaba Development Corporation (ADC) has appointed Boston-based ICON Architecture to prepare a detailed masterplan for the old port district of Aqaba.

'ICON has submitted its initial plans, which look into developing the old port district into a mixed-use urban and tourism project,' says ADC chairman Imad Fakhoury. 'We think the area can accommodate a $2,000 million mixed-use real estate package' (MEED 2:9:05).
