Oman Shipping Co (OSC) has signed a contract with Hyundai Heavy to build a new LNG carrier, Times of Oman has reported. Set for delivery in 2014, the LNG carrier will have a 162,000 cubic metres capacity, and have dual fuel technology. Further, the vessel will comply with European 'Green Certificate' requirements, as well as be capable of acting as a training vessel for up to six trainees and an instructor at any one time.
