Al-Hassan Engineering to provide construction and commissioning support for PDO project
Omans Al-Hassan Engineering Company has been awarded a construction and commissioning support contract on an oil and gas project by Petroleum Development Oman (PDO).
The contract, worth more than $20m, is for work on the Saih Nihayda condensate processing plant in the north of PDOs Block 6 concession in central Oman.
The scope also includes some residual engineering and procurement for the project, the company announced, saying the work would take about 16 months to complete.
The main contract for the plant was awarded to Switzerland-based ABB in July 2012. It will have the capacity to process about 4,500 cubic metres a day of condensate.
