Muscat International Airport has posted a 19% increase in total passenger traffic, including transit and transfer passengers, to 1,208,603 at the end of February 2012 from 1,015,531 during the same period of 2011, Times of Oman has reported. The increase traffic was attributed to the increase in the number of flights by some airlines operating into Muscat International Airport, such as Oman Air, Egypt Air, Pakistan International Airlines, SriLankan Airlines and Bangladesh Airlines (Biman).
