Omran invites firms to bid for construction of Duqm hotel

The Oman Tourism Development Company (Omran) has invited contractors to bid by 11 August for the contract to build a new hotel at Duqm.

Prospective bidders include India’s Larsen & Toubro, the local/UK Carillion Alawi, Galfar Engineering & Contracting, and Bahwan Engineering Company, both local.

The contract involves the construction of a four-star hotel with 204 rooms and 28 chalets with a ballroom, banquet room and spa. The works also include ancillary structures such as staff accommodation, chiller plants and a sewage treatment plant.

The total built-up area is 45,000 square metres. The site area is 208,000 square metres.

The local office of KEO International Consultants is the consultant (MEED 15:1:08).
