First phase will have a storage capacity of 412,000 cubic metres
UAE-based Gulf Petrochem has announced it has started building the first phase of a new 1.2 million cubic metres oil storage terminal at Fujairah port, Reuters has reported. Scheduled for commissioning in the second quarter of 2012, the first phase would have a storage capacity of 412,000 cu m, with subsequent phases to take the full capacity to 1.2 million cu m, the company said.
