Petrofac says the installation of facilities at three northern fields would maintain plateau production rates of 9 billion cubic metres a year beyond 2009.
The client is a consortium of the UK’s BP, Norway’s Statoil and state energy company Sonatrach (MEED 10:8:07).
The contract is start by 2010 and aims to reduce pressure at the wellheads and compress gas to the required inlet pressure at existing facilities.
The project will also include tie-ins to all three existing locations: Reg, Teg and Krechba.
