Companies have been invited to submit prequalifications by 22 December for the superstructure package on a major mixed-use development in Abu Dhabi.
Called the Khalidiya residential and commercial development, the scheme calls for the construction of: three towers, each of about 21 storeys and offering one, two and three bedrooms; commercial space; a swimming pool; a three-level underground car park; a clubhouse; and related facilities.
The project will have a built-up area of 75,000 square metres and is estimated to cost AED 180 million-200 million ($49 million-54 million). The scheme will be tendered in at least four packages - piling, superstructure, elevators and external and internal marble works. The project will take about two years to complete.
The consultant is the local Diwan Architects & Consultants; the project manager is the US' Turner International. The client is the Abu Dhabi government.
