The Public Works Authority (Ashghal) has received bids for the contract to build the Duhail Intersection.
It is understood that technical clarifications are ongoing and commercial bids have yet to be opened.
The contract involves the upgrade of 3.2 kilometres of highway and two intersections on Al-Gharrafa Street. The intersections connect Al-Gharrafa street with Al-Maszhabiliya Street, Al-Shamal Road and Al-Khafji Street.
The programme manager is US-based KBR.
Ashghal has also invited firms to bid by 16 October for package 1 of the roads and infrastructure work for the South of Al-Meshaf scheme. It has also tendered two road packages at Al-Ebb and Leabaib, with a 30 October closing date.
