The city will become the airline’s eleventh destination in India
Qatar Airways is to begin operating daily flights to Bangalore on 22 February, the first new route to be launched by the airline this year and its eleventh destination in India.
The new route follows the launch of flights to the Indian cities of Goa and Amritsar in October 2009.
Qatar Airways also plans to start operating flights to Tokyo and Ankara in 2010. Flights to the Turkish capital of Ankara will begin in April, with four flights each week, and daily flights to Tokyo via Osaka will start at the end of April.
The Doha-based airline is also due to start two new routes to Copenhagen, Barcelona and Sydney later this year.
