Qatar Airways is replacing its first and business class onboard lounges in its Airbus A340-600 planes with more economy class seats as demand for first and business class travel has declined in the past six months. Akbar al Baker, the carrier's CEO said the lounges were not used often enough to justify the extravagant use of space. The carrier's four A340-600s will undergo the changes in September and 44 economy seats will be added.
