Description: ETA Star has been recognised by QGBC, BRE and Kahramaa for its contribution and efforts made towards Baytna, the first project in Qatar to adhere to Germany’s Passivhaus standard of energy efficiency. The project aims to demonstrate the benefits of a Passivhaus design by building a Passivhaus villa – with high levels of insulation and air-tightness, combined with mechanical ventilation – next to a conventional villa, and comparing their energy usage and environmental footprint.
