Project management provider to oversee execution of 146-kilometre scheme

Qatar Railways Company (Qatar Rail) has tendered the project management consultancy deal for the first phase of its long-distance passenger and freight rail project.
Interested companies may collect the tender documents between 24 and 31 August, and a tender briefing is scheduled for 6 September.
The company, however, has not stated when the project management consultancy tender will close.
The scope of services for the tendered contract include projects and programme management, design management and construction services management.
Qatar Rail prequalified 15 consortiums in late July to bid for the design-and-build contract for the rail project. The tender is expected to be released between the last quarter of 2015 and the first quarter of 2016.
