Ashghal seeks project manager for wastewater plant expansion
Qatar’s Public Works Authority (Ashghal) has issued a tender for consultancy services on the second-phase expansion of its Doha South wastewater treatment plant.
The contract covers the review of the project design, general and site supervision, quantity surveying and project management consultancy services.
The deadline for bids is 27 October.
The expansion project will increase capacity of the 112,000-cubic-metre-a-day (cm/d) Doha plant by 70,000 cm/d. The project is due to be completed in mid-2012.
In April, France’s Veolia won a Eur44m ($64.9m) contract for the operation and maintenance of the Doha South and Industrial Area wastewater treatment plant with capacity of 12,000 cm/d. The seven-year contract includes an option for a three-year extension.
