Qatar to introduce traffic lessons in schools

Qatar’s Supreme Education Council (SEC) is working with the traffic department to implement programmes and activities into the school curriculum from the start of the academic year, the Peninsula has reported. The move aims to raise awareness among students about traffic safety and traffic rules. “The programme is not just focused on children. Parents have the major responsibility for raising awareness among children about traffic safety and they will also be part of the school activities,” Col Mubarak Al Nuaimi, head of the media and awareness section at the traffic department said.
